A Season for the History Books: Lebanon Girls Golf

The Lebanon Tigers’ girls golf team is having one of and if not, the best season in the history of the program. The lady tigers are led by their four seniors: Brittney Crum, Mikayla Mace, Brooke Reeves, and Ella Taylor. Audrey Patterson and Anna Robbins are also key contributors for the lady tigers.

Senior Ella Taylor has been consistently one of the top scorers for the lady tigers all season. When asked about what her favorite part of her team was, Taylor said, “We are really close on and off the course, and we love to support each other no matter how we individually play.”

Some notable accomplishments for the lady tigers include being ranked 18th in the state, winning the South Grove invitational for the first time in program history, and being invited to the Hall of Fame tournament, which only the top 20 teams in the state are invited to.

Taylor also said, “being the team to break a bunch of the Lebanon girls golf records really makes us proud as a collective. Winning matches and invitationals that we are not accustomed to winning has really boosted our morale all throughout the season.”

The biggest accomplishment that the lady tigers achieved this season was winning the Boone County Invitational. The lady tigers had never won the invitational before, until this year. Zionsville had ahold of the Boone County Invitational trophy for years and years, but now the lady tigers hoist it for the 2021 season.

Taylor also said, “I love this group, these girls mean so much to me. This is my favorite group or team that I have ever played with. We all are beyond proud of each other and will remember this season for the rest of our lives.”
