Teacher & Senior Dress Up Day
November 15, 2021
On the first day back from fall break, the seniors and teachers participated in the annual dress up day for Halloween. This has been a decades-long tradition that only seniors and the teachers can dress up as anything they want (as long as it’s school appropriate). To add to the fun, the different teaching departments dress up in a group costume and the students get to vote on their favorite.
“A few of my friends and I dressed up as the Scooby-Doo characters and it was so much fun. I remember as an underclassman looking at the seniors that dressed up and being so excited for my chance to do a group costume with my friends,” said senior Kiersten Dallas.
This time of year brings out the best costumes people can think of. LHS costumes are as fun and unique as anything you’ve ever seen. The idea of the teachers dressing up as well really brings together the whole school for a day of fun.
“This is my third-year teaching at Lebanon and I always enjoy dressing up with the rest of the departments. It adds to the fun because the social studies department has won multiple years in a row so we have to keep stepping it up each year and I know the students enjoy it,” said social studies teacher Mr. DeBard.
This year, each department dressed up in different group costumes, but the winner was the social studies department in marvel costumes. In previous years, they have worn costumes such as the cast of popular Netflix show, Tiger King. This is an LHS tradition that seniors and teachers all look forward to and it isn’t going anywhere for a long time.
“Some of my friends and I dressed up as the secret service that protects the president. Our ‘president’ was Will Lloyd and we walked around school in a circle as if to protect him. It was so fun and I’m glad to be able to dress up as a senior,” said senior Caleb McKaig.
