New year, new events. This upcoming year has a lot to bring such as movies, music, concerts, and more. Learn and see what there is to look forward to and experience, and make 2022 your best year yet.

Movies are going to be a big part of 2022, especially for Marvel fans. This year, Doctor Strange: in the Multiverse of Madness, Thor: Love and Thunder, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and Morbius are coming out. There are tons of popular titles making appearances like Uncharted, The Batman, the last Halloween movie, Halloween Ends, and Hotel Transylvania: Transformania, being the last of the franchise.

But that’s just the beginning. There are many more things coming out, for instance music. The Weeknds new album, Dawn FM just came out and is already topping the charts. NLE Choppa’s new album, Me vs Me is out January 14th. Later on, we will be hearing from Mitski with Laurel Hell, Kehlani with Blue Water Road, Kanye West with Donda 2, and Machine Gun Kelly with Born With Horns. More big artists have been hinting and are rumored to release new albums, such as artists like SZA, Post Malone, A$AP Rocky, Frank Ocean, and many more.

With COVID slowing down somewhat, concerts have become a possibility again. Big names have decided to release dates, such as 5 Seconds of Summer, Glass Animals, Shawn Mendes, Lil Tecca, Morgan Wallen, Keith Urban, Backstreet Boys, Foo Fighters, Wallows, Imagine Dragons, Justin Bieber, and many more. Re-scheduled dates for many of artists will be releasing this year as well.

Fun events have been cancelled for past two years, but this year more has opened up. There are still the events in which you can experience from home, like the Superbowl, that will take place February 13th, 2022. Along with award shows, like Oscars in March, the Emmy’s in May, and Grammy’s, but the date is TBD as of now. Basketball is continuing until April, so this is your chance to go see Indiana’s team, the Pacers at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Black history gallery tours are available, along with Newfields art museum, which will have new additions this year. Spring Blooms on March 26th, Art in Bloom on March 31st, Sugar: Commodity and Confection in Art on February 18th, and The Clowes Pavilion Reimagined on March 25th. There will also be a Rock, Art, and Fashion exhibit by Stephen Sprouse, an Indiana native.

Take advantage of what there is to do here in Indiana. Try escape rooms, go to the fairgrounds, or even the repertory theatre. Visit museums from art to history. Be open to new experiences this new year, and see what you discover.
