What are your plans after high school? I plan to attend DePauw University and major in biology and minor in global health.
What is your favorite memory from high school? My favorite memory from LHS has been meeting the amazing people I now have in my life and being able to continue to challenge myself academically and personally.
Who is your favorite teacher & why? Teaching is about making a difference in the lives of students. That’s why Ms. Hill, Mrs. Coddington, and Mrs. Hines are my favorite teachers. All three of these amazing people have had an impact on me and have gone the extra mile for me, and I greatly appreciate that.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years? I see myself working as a physician in either a hospital or clinical setting and taking care of my baby goats and my hedgehogs in whatever free time I may have.
What is your advice for the Class of 2019? You are capable of more than you can imagine, so challenge yourself and strive for growth this coming year.Keep your eyes on the prize. What they say about senioritis is true. It does kick in, and it can be hard to resist, but the fact of the matter is if you want to do well in life, you need to graduate from high school, which is impossible to do if you are failing classes, and if you want to go to college and then possibly attend graduate school, you need to work even harder. Also, remember that your senior year is going to go fast, so be sure to enjoy it while it is here and push yourself out of your comfort zone this year.Trust me. It is worth it. Overall, don’t blink or you’ll miss your senior year. Don’t be in too much of a rush to get out of here because you’ll regret it later in life. Enjoy the privileges of being a senior, and enjoy what you have while you have it.
