Leaves are falling, temperature is dropping, and Halloween is creeping around the corner.  Fall is finally here.

With the transition into this season comes many exciting activities that many people enjoy.  Indiana is filled with many places to visit with your family and friends.  Students at LHS mentioned that they look forward to visiting pumpkin patches, haunted houses, and festivals.

“My favorite place to visit during the fall would be Dulls Tree Farm, because it is decorated nicely and you can take cute pictures there, while enjoying all of the activities,” said junior Marisa Howe.

Dulls Tree Farm is a popular pumpkin patch, located in Thorntown, Indiana. The farm’s activities include; wagon rides, corn mazes, big slides, pony rides, pumpkin picking, and a variety of other games.  Dulls events are open Saturdays from 10-7 and Sundays from 1-7 September 29ththrough October 28th.  Admission to the farm is $10 per person and children 2 and under get in for free.

“I really like going to Fear Farm with my friends because the thrill you get when they scare you is so exciting” said freshman Cami Deakins.

Fear Farm is a haunted house, located in Jamestown, Indiana. Activities at Fear Farm include the haunted hayride and the slaughter barn. They are open Fridays and Saturdays 7-11PM and Sundays 7-10PM.  Tickets for the hayride are $15 for adults and $13 for children 8 and under.  The slaughter barn tickets are $15 for all ages. They also offer a combo deal that includes both attractions for $24.

“My favorite thing about the Covered Bridge Festival is getting to walk around with my family and look at all of the unique booths that sell different things,” said junior Gabby Brewer.

Parke County Covered Bridge Festival is a popular place that people from all over Indiana visit.  The festival is located in Rockville, Indiana and is open October 12ththrough October 21st.  Attractions include a variety of food options, many different shops, free entertainment, bus tours, and art galleries.  The vendors generally are open from 9AM-6PM.

As the fall quickly approaches, people get anxious for the many activities that come along with this season.  If you want to have an enjoyable time with family or friends, check out one of the many attractions that Indiana has to offer.
