After a successful fall sports season with boys’ soccer, boys’ tennis, and girls’ cross country all winning conference and many first team all-conference athletes. It is finally time for the winter sports to start up.

Wrestling, boys’ basketball, girls’ basketball, cheerleading, and the swim and dive teams are all ready to have a successful winter within their sports.

I asked an athlete from each winter sport what they were looking forward to and what their goals for the upcoming season were and they responded with:

Senior basketball player Paige Jones said, “My goals are to make it to regionals and be able to get closer with a lot of the younger girls while making them feel more involved. I am looking forward to the lock-in and getting to know the new coaches.”

Junior wrestler Easton Williamson said, “Always giving it my all and the new coaching staff that we have this year.”

Junior swimmer Lucy Gascho said, “My goal for the season is to get the 200 IM record and the 100 record. Also, to win conference again this year. I am really looking forward to team bonding”

Sophomore cheerleader Logan Harrington said, “Just to have an amazing season. I am looking forward to bonding with the girls and learning how to do more advanced stunt skills”

Junior basketball player Luke Ferrell said, “My goal is to go farther than we did last year and maybe even win regionals. I am looking forward to play on Fridays in front of the fans and just having a good season.”

Sophomore diver Lexi Puckett said, “I’m looking forward to improving myself and really focusing on bettering my performance during meets and getting more confident with the team this season.”

The teams are starting to condition and get ready for their season and you can check the Lebanon athletics page https://lebanonathletics.comto see when all their games and meets will take place.
