Senior Madison Wirey is a two-sport athlete at Lebanon High School who has long days of school followed by three-hour practices. Wirey hardly ever eats breakfast, as she needs energy for her extensive schedule.
“I am usually not hungry in the morning and I am normally running late, so I don’t have enough time to sit down and eat breakfast,” said senior Madison Wirey.
Sophomore Garrett Harker is a three-sport athlete at LHS playing Football, Basketball and Baseball. Other than sports, Harker is heavily involved to keep himself busy through the school year.
“I always eat breakfast. My favorite meals to start off my day are biscuits and gravy, eggs and toast, hash browns or pancakes. I never go a day without eating breakfast because it gives me energy throughout the day and keeps me full until lunch,” said Garrett Harker.
Picking nutritious breakfast options is essential to keeping your energy up throughout the day. Adding fruit or veggies into your meal will help get energy flowing and will help start your day off right.
