There is nothing better for a high school student to realize they can actually enjoy their weekend for once. Not always do teenagers catch a break and get a homework-free weekend. So, when these high school students get the chance, they make sure to take a pit stop at the Lebanon 7 to view a movie. Below are opinions from Lebanon High School students on their favorite movie from 2018 and a list of what to expect in 2019.

Senior Brannon Watson’s favorite film released on April 10, 2018.

“I loved Super Troopers 2 because it was really funny and it was just as good as the first Super Troopers,” said Watson.

Sophomore Melia Donner made sure to see top rated Black Panther in 2018. The Wakanda film is up for 10 Academy Award nominations this year.

“Black Panther had a great plot and the actors played their roles really well. I would rate it a 9/10,” said Donner.

Freshman Reese Jones has always had a nag for watching movies. He never misses an opportunity to see a great film with his friends.

“My favorite movie of 2018 was Avenger’s Infinity War because it was lit. I recommend people see it because it is a great film that I would give it a 10,” said Jones. “My favorite Avenger is Ironman and I expect Thanos to get pounded by Captain Marvel in the upcoming Avengers film.”

Disney made it clear in 2018 that the company will start producing more live-action films from the animated movies that kids grew up watching. Great news, right?

Sophomore Lexi Trepcos got a glimpse of Disney’s goal as she went and saw Mary Poppins Returns on December 19, 2018.

“The film was definitely my favorite of the year. As I grew up watching movies, the original Mary Poppins was always my favorite and now I really love the new one,” said Trepcos.
