What is your full name?
Emma Elizabeth-Endicott Biddle
What are your future plans? What are you majoring in, if you are planning on attending a post-secondary school?
I will be attending Ball State University in the fall of 2019. I will be majoring in Journalism with a focus in News and a minor in Spanish.
What has made this year your best year?
This year has been my best year because I have learned to relax and take things as they come. I have always been a person who stresses out over every little detail, but this year I have learned that being stressed out doesn’t help the situations I may be in. This year has been my best year because I have been able to sit back and enjoy every moment with my friends and family.
If you could give any advice to the underclassmen, what would you say?
Do not overwork yourself. When scheduling classes, think practically. You might think taking 5 AP classes at one time will look good on your transcript to colleges and boost your GPA, but you have to realize that those classes are fast-paced, difficult, a surplus amount of homework, and difficult tests/quizzes. Think about the class load you will be taking on and ask yourself if it is worth it.
Who has been your biggest influence at the school and why? (teacher, administrator, staff member)
The biggest influence for me at this school would have to be Coach Wright. Although he is difficult on his students and might seem harsh, he is actually a really down to earth and kind man. He does not take excuses because he knows that we are better than excuses. He makes sure that his students are genuinely doing well and only wants success for his students which is why he pushes his students so hard.
What class has been the most beneficial for you? Why?
The class that has been most beneficial to me would have to be the Pennant. I was dead set on pursuing a career in medicine, but after taking this class I realized that I actually wanted to pursue a career in Journalism. I do not think I would have realized that I wanted to pursue this pathway if it was not for the Pennant.
What is something interesting about you that most people wouldn’t know about you?
I was electrocuted in 5th grade by a blow dryer and I don’t have feeling in my first three fingers on my right hand.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
I see myself working for a news station either in front of or behind the camera. I am not sure what exactly I want to do but I know that going to college will help me weed out my options when deciding what position I want in a news station.
Are you planning on playing sports in college? If so what sport and where?
I won’t be playing professionally, but I will be playing club tennis in Muncie.
