Prom Recap 2022
May 6, 2022
This year’s prom was definitely a success. After last year’s “COVID Prom”, students were excited to finally have a somewhat normal prom.
“I was definitely excited about Prom this year. I know that last year there were a lot of restrictions because of COVID, so the seniors didn’t get the full experience. I’m glad that we were able to have a normal prom this year.” said junior Cayman Huntsman.
2022’s Prom was held at the Boone Country 4-H Fairgrounds in the Witham Pavilion. Some students shared their opinion on this year’s location.
“I think that the fairgrounds were a great location. There were so many people there for walk-ins. I felt like a celebrity.” said junior Aiden Frost.
“I thought that the atmosphere was great. Walk-ins were awesome. I had so much fun seeing that many people cheering for me. It was a really neat experience.” said senior Andrew Phelps.
“It was really fun. I had the time of my life!” said sophomore Savannah Spainhower.
Another aspect that made this year’s prom so great was the weather. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky and the temperature was perfect. As for prom itself, there wasn’t a dull moment.
“It was really interesting because Alex Juarez crowd-surfed.” said senior Jacqueline Erwin.
At the end of the night, the prom king and queen were announced. This year’s prom king winner was Cayman Huntsman. The queen winner was Jada Stitch.
“Dancing with the prom king was fun because we got to talk and it was really awkward like people said.” said Stitch.
“I had a great time with my friends. I didn’t really think that I was going to win king, but when I did, I was super excited.” said Huntsman.
