Approximately 200-400 students graduate from LHS each year. Each one of those individuals are searching for their future career, whether that be in the business realm, becoming a future educator, or becoming an orchestra conductor. Chase Wright was a LHS graduate in 2015. He is now becoming a rising star in the country music industry.

After graduating from high school, Chase went to DePauw University. He then became a track star at DePauw and graduated in 2018 with a degree in economics. However, Chase clearly decided that that would not be his future career.

During his time in college Chase started singing covers on Instagram and Facebook, soon after he received very positive feedback form his posts. He mentioned to his dad that he learned how to play the guitar and soon after his dad bought him one from a garage sale.

After continuing his social media posts a manager reached out and saw his potential, he wanted Chase to head down to Nashville and participate in a songwriting workshop for ASCAP, the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers. After that workshop he moved to Nashville to officially start his music career. Chase now has a publishing deal with Toby & Molly Music and his management is Morris Higham.

On August 14, 2020, Chase posted his first debut single, “My Kinda Morning,” which introduced his debut album, “Intertwined.” On July 30th, he celebrated hearing his song “Lying With You,” on the radio for the first time ever, now the song is number 30 on the Hot 30 Weekend Countdown. His new song “Hurt No More,” hit the charts, becoming number six on the ACMC Top New Music Picks last week.
