After a two year wait, Water Wars is back at Lebanon. Water Wars is a game where two people make a team and compete against others. Your team is given a target and to get them out you shoot them with a water gun, and you have a week to do so before you get new targets. Last team standing wins.
This year 52 teams have joined and the prize pot for the winning team is over $500. The game started this Monday, where many eliminations already happened. The first one happened just 3 minutes after midnight, with Eli Bridges and Lilly Hollingsworth taking down Graceanne Newman. Later in the week, Newman’s partner was eliminated making them the first out of 51 teams that will been eliminated.
Many people have resorted to crazy strategies to get their targets, like climbing on roofs, hiding in cars, wearing disguises, and getting up early in the morning to camp outside of houses. Some people have also helped their friends out by telling them where their targets are.
Controversies have also brewed such as the goggles and floaties rule. After being ruled as overpowered, the rule no longer applies Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, in attempts to make the game fairer.
In addition to all this, a public snapchat story was created to post all the Water Wars drama on, making it even more interesting. Currently just 3 days reman until the first week is over, so we’ll see how things turn out.
