With the holiday season approaching, employees are preparing for the busiest time of the year. One place in particular, the global company, Starbucks. Starbucks has one of the most iconic holiday menus and Meredith Garner, a fellow employee, at the local Lebanon Starbucks has a few things to say on this upcoming season.
The Lebanon Starbucks is located right off the interstate which makes this a go-to stop all around. While the sales go up, so does the work involved and these workers almost have it perfected. New syrups, drinks, and pastries make it an attractive establishment for people in the Christmas spirit. You may be asking what makes Starbucks more appealing than their competitors. Meredith Garner explains, “Starbucks has been known to come out with new flavors every season. It keeps our customers on their toes!” This causes consumers to want to visit the cafe to try new, intriguing flavors. That being said, this location is well-trafficked.
Rushes may sound stressful at this busy place, but their effective system implemented is almost fool-proof. Their peak hours are from 7am to 9am. To help, staff-members called “partners” help during those bustling hours to ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Partners are not assigned to a specific role; they are simply there to provide helping hands wherever they’re needed.
While asking Ms. Garner her least favorite thing about working at Starbucks during the winter months, she says how quickly it gets bsy. Not having an adequate amount of workers on said days makes it much more stressful. In contrast, her favorite thing is the benefits involved with being an employee. These include unlimited drinks on shift, discounts at certain stores, and the amazing atmosphere. She especially likes being a shift lead because it is fun and she gets to help everyone.
If you are looking for a unique drink to try at your next visit, Garner recommends an iced caramel brulee latte with blonde espresso. She goes on to explain blonde espresso has the most caffeine and is not very strong or acidic which she enjoys.
