As our 2025 Fall sports kickoff, we thought it would be nice to recognize our new impact players wearing the black and gold threads. This includes athletes Christopher Hill and Mallory Short.
Chris joins us as our varsity quarterback for the football team. He is a senior transferring in from Indianapolis Bishop Chatard, and he also plays basketball in the winter and baseball in the spring. Coming into such a big position at a new school can be exceedingly difficult, but Chris has elevated expectations for himself and wants to have an instant impact. He said, “I know I am technically just the new guy around here, but my goal is to rise as a leader on this team. I know what I am capable of as a player, and I am going to do everything I can to give us the best chance of making history this season.” The Tigers are currently 1-1, and they are looking to comeback for it all after falling just short last year.
Mallory is the Tiger’s newest outside hitter on the varsity volleyball team. She is a junior coming in from Speedway High School. With the help of Mallory, the volleyball team is off to a hot 6-2 start, with a recent big win over Carmel. A lot of people would agree that moving schools and meeting new teams can be very overwhelming and stressful, but Mallory had no trouble fitting in. She said, “I was a little nervous at first, but everyone on the team made me feel so welcomed. There is no team I would rather be on right now.”
We are glad to welcome our new athletes Chris and Mallory and wish them the best of luck with the rest of their seasons and high school experience at Lebanon High School.
