The Lebanon School Corporation has recently put a lot of money into renovations on buildings throughout the district, including building a whole new transportation center for school bus storage. The full process started about 1.5 years ago when our corporation went to visit other districts transportation centers to see what improvements we could make.
After lots of meetings, LCSC decided the new facility would have a lot of new features such as automatic gates, more parking spots, and a new bus wash. When interviewing the director of Transportation Becky Nichols, she said “We really love all the new amenities it offers to our staff, such as a new meeting room,
On top of all the stylistic additions, the building was built to be significantly safer. Mechanics have a lot more space to work along with up-to-date supplies and tools. “We only had one bathroom for females. Now we have 4.” This building will help the drivers and administration with their day-to-day operations and is going to be an essential part of LCSC for years to come.
