The Lebanon High School boys’ soccer team has put together a strong campaign, carrying an 8-4-2 record into its final week of the regular season. With sectional play on the horizon, the Tigers are aiming to finish on a high note as they prepare to face a tough Harrison squad in their last scheduled matchup.
Earlier this month, Lebanon honored its senior class with a 5-1 victory over Tri-West on Senior Night. The Tigers set the tone early and never looked back, giving the outgoing players a memorable night in front of their home crowd. Senior Logan Hunstman has continued to lead the charge offensively, scoring 16 goals to pace the Tigers. The senior forward said the success has come from the team’s ability to play with some swagger. “We’ve been working hard all season to play clean soccer, and that game really showed what we can do when we play fast and confident.”
On the flip side, the lady Tigers have also put together a commendable regular season, with a current record of 9-3-2. This record, so far, has been a steady improvement compared to their 11-7 finish in the 2024-2025 season. This step in the right direction appears to stem from the improved bonds made between teammates, as sophomore Alyza Holloman said, “This team has really gotten close throughout the year, everyone is very caring and supportive. We are almost always on the same page, and I think that has helped us big time so far this year.”
Now, the boys will be tested against Harrison, a talented team that will pose quite a challenge. Head coach and players alike see it as an opportunity to sharpen their form before the intensity of the postseason. The girls next matchup is against the Tipton Blue Devils. With momentum from their recent performances and confidence in their team chemistry, the boys and girls hope to continue to carry their success into the postseason.
