What is DECA? “DECA is a student-led organization to develop skills for students interested in business”, says Mr. Jason Joris. Joris is an adviser for Lebanon DECA and a business teacher here at Lebanon High School.
DECA’s State competition is just around the corner. It is hosted downtown Indianapolis from March 3rd to the 5th.
Those who go to State get the opportunity to advance to internationals in Los Angeles, California. The increase of students going to State this year compared to last year is up to 12 people.
“State is my favorite part of the DECA year because it’s more laid back than Internationals and less stressful”, says Joris. Joris also enjoys the atmosphere and how much fun it is. He enjoys competitiveness and being socially interactive with the students.
