With the colts coming off this weekends lost against the Vikings the colts are now 4-5. The missing piece in this team is the QB.
With drafting Richardson in 2023 many colts fans had elevated expectations since he was drafted first round and played at Florida University. We only had Richardson for less than half the season last year since he injured his shoulder.
The start of this season Indy was happy to have him back. The first couple of games went smoothly. Each week we would go back and forth of winning and losing. For example, last week we ended with an equal record of 4-4.
Many fans were not happy with Richardson’s performance. Not only losing the game but at one point he subbed himself out of the game for one play. In the postgame interview saying he was “tired” after that play.
Many interviewers asked head coach Steichen if there would be a QB change, he told sources the staff is still looking that over.
With this weekends game against the Vikings, Steichen decided to start the backup QB, Joe Flacco. Flacco has been in the NFL for 17 years, he is 39 years old. Twice that age as Richardson.
With colts fans hearing this news they were hoping to go 5-4 after playing Minnesota. Instead, the complete opposite going 4-5 and Joe Flacco not performing the best.
The team is in a bind to find their franchise QB, is it time to let go of their first round pick Richardson and try for something else?
