There are many ways to help people from doing small things like assisting them with daily tasks to going all the way to giving them another chance of life. Here from Pennant, we thought it was important to give notice about one of the teachers here at LHS, donating her bone marrow. Hallee Remnik, a current English teacher, signed up on MNDP to become a donor. She responded with the benefits she and the patient are receiving from this life changing treatment,
“I guess the satisfaction of doing it, for the other person it apparently saves their life. The person I am helping has a form of leukemia, and now that as far in the process that we are, they are undergoing intensive chemo to prepare for surgery.”
Overall, this is a very great thing she is doing for the people that need it most. If you are interested in donating as well, joining on the MNDP website you can sign up to become a donor (donors have to be over the age of 18 to donate). There are many different forms of donation you can do, but overall it can be something that could save another person’s life.
