HOSA is a healthcare club, founded in 1976, which is oriented around healthcare and expanding students’ understanding for healthcare. Students Sophia Metheny, Aubrey Goodlett, and Paige Jones are all students a part of this new club. They described what events they took part in and what they’re looking most forward to this school year.
Sophia Metheny is the Secretary for HOSA. While describing what she does as the secretary she said “ Mailing letters, asking for donations, and putting together packets for members.” For her first year of HOSA, she decided to only focus on one event which is phlebotomy.
Paige Jones is also a member of HOSA that participates in topics of medical terminology, physical therapy and competes in HOSA bowl with her teammates Gillian Meyers, Lillian Fulkerson, and Sarah Wright. Paige is most excited to challenge herself and work towards winning her personal events.
Aubrey Goodlett is also another active member of HOSA. She is participating in the EMT and forensic science events. Aubrey looks forward to branching out into new competitions she has never been a part of before.
