The halls of Lebanon High School are slowly becoming a little more like a runway this year. Prom season is right around the corner, and students are already talking about the biggest fashion trends of 2026. Let us just say that subtle is definitely out.
This year’s fashion trends are all about making a statement. From the bold high slits with ruffles and trains to the sparkly and bedazzled dresses that catch the eye wherever you go, it is clear that bold is the new black. Floral prints are back in fashion, and they come with a large bow to add a touch of whimsy to the look. Meanwhile, prints like cheetah and polka dots are giving the look a bold and confident edge. Another trend turning heads is the rise of side cut-outs and sheer corset designs. These looks mix elegance with a bit of edge, giving students more ways to express their personal style. And when it comes to silhouettes, strapless dresses are taking center stage as the most popular choice this season.
“I think, like, this year it’s all about standing out, being confident with what you’re wearing. Everyone’s like, ‘Okay, let’s find something that really shows your personality,” says Rachel Crabbs, Senior, Lebanon High School.
For some, the hunt for the perfect dress has been just as thrilling as the dance itself. “I have seen a lot of dresses with bows and sparkles, and I love it,” said Harper Adam’s. “It’s like everyone’s going all out this year.”
Regardless of whether the student chooses to go with something classic and give it a little twist or if they choose to go bold and trendy with the new looks, one thing is for sure: prom 2026 at Lebanon High will be one to remember, both on and off the dance floor.
