Lebanon’s junior running back Brendan Shockley continued to impress through the end of the season.
According to MaxPreps, in 11 games this season, Shockley rushed for 1105 yards on 183 carries with 12 TD’s. This is an average of 6 yards a carry and 100.45 yards a game.
“Something I wanted to do this year was rush for 100 yards a game and 1000 yards on the season at a minimum,” said Shockley.
And Shockley got just that, due to his great performance of 176, 157, 189 yards rushing games against Southmont, Crispus Attucks, and Brebuf Jesuit, respectively.
“I found him to be dedicated and polite student… a leader,” said Mrs. Kazmierczak, Shockley 10th grade English teacher.
As this isn’t a surprise as he was appointed captain of the Junior class on the football team this year. Shockley has a positive attitude when he comes to practice and you always know what you’re going to get out of him, his best.
He is a consistent kid, “He is steady-edy,” said Lebanon Head Coach Jeff Smock when asked what he thinks about Shockley.
Shockley is more than a good football player. He is a good teammate, a good kid, and a good student. The sky is the limit for Brendan.
