Regan Masten has shown her ability to be very versatile in the activities she does. Regan has just recently had the opportunity with her hard work to win the certifications of being Grand Champion at the county fair and won Sweepstakes at the state fair. Sweepstakes is the highest award one can win at the state fair. Regan spent multiple days fixing a washer for her project. Regan said her interest was sparked for 4-H by her family encouraging her to try out 4-H.
For those unfamiliar with 4-H there are so many categories to take part in. When asked, “Why did you choose electricity out of all the 4-H categories?” Regan said, “My dad and cousin were in the electricity category, so I did it as well.” Through the competitions, Regan has learned so much about electrical while doing 4-H. Regan was asked if she plans on doing electrical as a job in the future. Regan replied, “Honestly yes!” Regan was also asked how 4-H has shaped her life over the past few years of doing it. Regan said, “I have better friends at 4-H it’s a lot easier to make friends because we all the same interests.”
Overall, 4-H has been beneficial for Regan with the skills she has learned and the awards she continues to get! Congratulations Regan!
